Concrete Literary Magazine
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
Concrete accepts unsolicited submissions from Emerson College undergraduates, including fiction, non-fiction, screenplays, and anything else you deem “prose," as well as poetry.
In this year's issue, we are interested in publishing/featuring works that pertain to relevant issues and stories within the the Emerson community. With that said, please do not limit yourselves to this idea. We welcome all stories and concepts!
Our submission period lasts from September 9, 2022 to January 31, 2023. Submit up to 5 total pages of poetry with each poem as a separate submission. (Maximum submission of 5 poems per reading period.) Submit up to 3 separate pieces of prose, each between 1,000 and 6,000 words. Note: Concrete only considers submissions from undergraduates of Emerson College.
Please include in the submission your name, Emerson ID, email address, year and major, and the title and genre of the work submitted. Please do not include your name or any other identifying information within the document of the piece. After receiving notification of our publication decision regarding your submission to one category, you are welcome to submit separately to the other category available.
